to present a basic understanding of the role of sodium in fluid

to address some of the common misconceptions regarding fluid and
kidney disease such as:
- What is considered fluid (soup,
ice, etc)
- Factors influencing the amount
of fluid consumption
Emphasis is placed on the fact that
thirst is not an indicator of the need for fluid in kidney disease.

This section is based on common practical
advise for dealing with thirst.
